We are not as small as you might think

Everything is a matter of perspective.

When you turn your gaze outward to the world and universe beyond,

It is easy to feel insignificant in the vastness of it all.

The billions of people living their lives on this planet.

The countless stars and incredible space of the universe.

And what does one human lifetime matter in the immense expanse of time?

Not much – it can feel like.

Sometimes this is a comfort, sometimes not.

The world feels large, and we can feel very small.

But if you flip your perspective and look within,

You will find that this is not the case.

Each of our bodies contains more atoms than there are stars in the visible universe.

There are more neurons in your brain then there are stars in the Milky Way.

One human lifetime contains more moments of consciousness,

Than the history of the universe contains human lifespans.

Think about that.

It is incredible to consider,

The abundance of space we have within,

The abundance of inner time we get to experience.

We are a worthy complement to the universe .

And not so small after all.

We are not important, yet we are all important.

Nothing we do matters, yet everything we do matters.

The paradox of life.

Just a little thought for you to ponder this week.
