You can use your mind, to change your experience of the world.

Where you focus your attention will directly influence how you feel and behave.

If you regularly rest your attention on things that are negative,

Things that anger or upset you, things you resent or regret.

Then you will be building the force and strength of those thoughts and feelings.

They will become your reality.

But if you focus your attention on the blessings in your life,

Things for which you are grateful.

Things that bring a smile to your face.

Things that make you feel purposeful.

Well then you build up the force and strength of these thoughts and feelings.

And they will become your reality.

Which reality would you prefer?

They are both equally real and valid,

Two sides of the same coin.

The great news is, you get to choose, which side to look at.

Heads or tails…. How cool is that?

The key is to control your attention.

Not put your head in the sand, or ignore things.

But to choose carefully and intentionally where you train the spotlight of your mind.

Now I know the world is pretty crazy at the moment.

There is a lot going on…. And not much of it seems very good.

So if you need some help tuning in to a more positive vibe,

here is a gratitude exercise that really works:

Each day for a least a week, write down three things that went well for you that day.

Give an explanation for why they went well and how it make you feel.

Make sure you write it down – it is not enough to do this as a mental exercise – get out a pen and some paper.

To make this part of your routine, great time to do this is before you go to bed at night.

Give it a go.
