Do you like your reason?

Are you feeling overwhelmed with all the things you have to do,

Or all the things that you would like to do,

To figure out what you need to be doing

and what you don’t,

What you can put aside

And what you should focus your attention on.


The trick is to stop, for a moment and consider one thing….


Why are you doing each of those items on your to do list?

Why did you just volunteer to bake 100 cookies for the upcoming school cake stall?

Why did you accept that lunch date?

Why are chopping fruit into tiny little chunks and storing it in the fridge?

Why did you do any of the things you did yesterday?

Why are you going to do all the things you will do today?

And then….. once you ask yourself why?

Ask yourself one more question….



If you like your reason for doing it – do it.

If you don’t like your reason ….

(Well I think you know what I am going to say)

I think you should seriously consider not doing it.

You have a limited amount of time and energy.

Spend it on things that are important to you,

Things that you value,

Things you enjoy

Things that will help you grow into the person you want to be.

Life is short, yet full of possibility.

Embrace, and make the most of it.
